In our first session, we’ll work on uncovering your strengths, skills, and unique qualities so you can confidently articulate what makes you stand out.
- What we’ll do: We’ll explore your career achievements, transferable skills, and what makes you unique. I’ll help you identify your personal value proposition—essentially, why an employer should hire you.
- Why it matters: Once you know how to tell your career story, you’ll feel more confident selling yourself, whether that’s on paper, in person, or during interviews.
- What you’ll gain: By the end of this session, you’ll have a clear and compelling elevator pitch and a professional narrative that showcases your value.
-
Building a Winning CV and Job Applications
Next, we’ll focus on your CV and job applications. This includes writing tailored, professional applications that stand out, especially for roles requiring NHS Supporting Statements.
- What we’ll do: We’ll look at your current CV and any applications you’ve made to see where we can make improvements. I’ll show you how to format and optimise your CV to highlight your achievements and skills, and we’ll cover how to write clear and impactful NHS Supporting Statements.
- Why it matters: A well-written CV and application tailored to each role will significantly increase your chances of landing interviews.
- What you’ll gain: By the end of this session, you’ll have a polished CV and a toolkit for writing standout applications, ready to go.
-
Session 2: Cracking the Job Application Process
This session is all about strategy. We’ll look at how to improve your approach to applying for roles so you get better results.
- What we’ll do: We’ll do mock interviews to practice common questions, and I’ll provide feedback on how to improve your answers. I’ll also teach you the STAR method/CARL Method (Situation, Task, Action, Result / Context, Action, Result, Learning) so you can structure your responses clearly and effectively. If you’re applying for NHS roles, we’ll prepare for competency-based questions specific to those jobs.
- Why it matters: Practicing interviews will help you feel confident, calm, and ready to showcase your skills and experience.
- What you’ll gain: By the end of this session, you’ll have well-prepared, polished answers and feel much more confident about tackling any interview.
